business ✈️ Mamnoor airport land secured, naming suggestions invited
The state government has completed the land acquisition for the Nizam-era Mamnoor airport on the outskirts of Warangal city. Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy announced this on social media platforms, having allocated ₹295 crore for the land purchase. The Airports Authority of India has issued a tender valued at ₹213.59 crore for construction, published on September 14 with bids opening on November 9. This development addresses Warangal's long-standing need for an airport, which the previous government failed to deliver. The government aims to complete the airport by June 2, 2028, reflecting Kakatiya heritage. ✈️
