The Maharashtra Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has intensified its food safety inspections across the state. This crackdown targeted various eateries, midday meal centers, and food outlets near schools. Nine outlets, including five from the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA), had their licenses suspended due to hygiene violations. The FDA also banned loose edible oil sales and flagged issues at specific centers like Kurla Midday Meal Center on various dates. A statewide drive covering 250 schools led to action against 15 outlets for sanitation lapses. π½οΈ
