π§οΈ Low-pressure systems miss Andhra Pradesh rain targets
Despite seven low-pressure systems forming over the Bay of Bengal between July 1 and August 25, Andhra Pradesh has seen very little rainfall relief. The latest system brought light showers on August 24, but Tuesday saw minimal rain across coastal Andhra Pradesh. IMD forecasts light rain for some North Coastal areas on August 26, but no widespread rain until August 29. Currently, the state has recorded a 51.2% rainfall deficit during the first three months of the Southwest monsoon. Experts fear these grim conditions could continue, severely impacting local farmers. π₯
