π§ Linagliptin shields brain from pesticide damage
This research explored the neuroprotective effects of Linagliptin against neurotoxicity caused by Mancozeb in rats. The study was conducted by researchers at Ahvaz Jundishapur University of Medical Sciences. Findings showed Mancozeb increased anxiety and impaired coordination, while Linagliptin reversed these negative impacts. The drug effectively reduced oxidative stress and lowered pro-inflammatory cytokines associated with the toxicity. This suggests Linagliptin has potential in counteracting pesticide-induced brain damage. π§
