π Last royal coachmaker passes away at 76
The world's last royal coachmaker, Jim Frecklington, passed away at age 76 while working on a 3-tonne carriage for King Charles III. He worked out of his workshop on Sydney's northern beaches, dedicating his life to hand-built, magnificent carriages. The Commonwealth Royal Coach, a tribute to the monarchy, is now reported to be 98% complete. Despite a terminal cancer diagnosis, he pushed to finish the decade-long project. His team is currently completing the final details of this historical piece. π
