business π Ladakh gives big boost to Pashmina herders π
Ladakh's LG disbursed Rs 1.10 crore as a first-time production incentive to over 1,200 Pashmina goat herders. This happened on Sunday, with the disbursement targeting herders primarily from Samad, Kharnak, and Korzok villages. This incentive, along with an Rs 8 crore revolving fund, aims to boost incomes and speed up payments within the sector. The scheme encourages reinvestment in breeding and equipment to ensure financial sustainability for the herders. The goal is to raise fibre production from 200 grams to at least 350 grams per goat.
