ποΈ Korean War hero's family still pushes for Medal of Honor
Sergeant Willie Noriega Estrada died protecting his tank crew during the Korean War. He was a New Mexico native killed in action on September 22, 1952, near Bongowol, North Korea. Estrada was 23 when he received the Distinguished Service Cross, his first award. His brothers, Mario and Pete Estrada, are campaigning for his award to be upgraded to the Medal of Honor.
