๐ Kerala extends tenure for coastal police wardens
The Kerala government has extended the service tenure of coastal police wardens for another year. This decision was made by the Home department, following a report from the IG (Coastal Security). In 2019, 177 wardens were appointed across 18 stations to aid in lifesaving and rescue operations. Out of these, 141 currently serving wardens will now continue until June 30, 2027. This extension recognizes their crucial role in maritime emergencies and sea accidents.
