π€ JD(S) skips Ballari padayatra amid party clashes
The Janata Dal (Secular) has decided not to participate in the BJP's padayatra because of differing internal opinions. This decision stems from the party feeling they were not consulted regarding the unilateral dates announced for the event. The 10-day padayatra, which starts from Guragunta near Lingasagur on September 1, will travel 170 km to Ballari. The BJP is holding the march to protest the Congress government's perceived negative policies against the poor and farmers. JD(S) leader H.D. Kumaraswamy stated he would not attend as he is traveling to the U.S. for an AKKA event.
