Infineon's radiation-hardened HiRel power devices are now aboard the NASA Roman Space Telescope, which successfully launched from Kennedy Space Center in Florida. The telescope is heading to the L2 point, over 1.5 million kilometers from Earth, to conduct its mission. This mission aligns with Infineon's space heritage dating back to the 1970s, supporting numerous missions globally. The telescope will downlink around 1.4 terabytes of raw science data daily for up to a decade. Infineon's GaN transistor is a key component enabling this long-term, flawless power delivery. π
