Astrobase Space Technologies revealed Everest, an 800 kN Full-Flow Staged Combustion engine, which is India's first fully integrated FFSC engine. This development is happening in Bengaluru, pushing India's private space sector into advanced propulsion technology. The engine, designed for a reusable medium-lift vehicle, targets its first orbital flight by December 2028. Everest uses liquid oxygen and methane and is over 70% indigenously developed in Bangalore. The company expects to start hot-fire testing in the coming months to meet these ambitious goals.
