π India slides to Asia's least-preferred stock market
India has replaced Indonesia as Asiaβs least-preferred stock market based on a Bank of America Corp. survey of fund managers. This negative sentiment was observed across the nation's fourth-largest equity market. The survey, conducted between Aug. 7 and Aug. 13, showed 32 per cent of respondents were net underweight on Indian equities. Key concerns cited included the lack of clear AI exposure and weak growth prospects. Despite an 18 per cent jump in Nifty 50 earnings, investors remain cautious about the market outlook. π
