⚽ India skips FIFA ASEAN Cup for Brazil clash
India has withdrawn from the inaugural FIFA ASEAN Cup to focus on a historic friendly match against Brazil. The tournament was set to begin on September 24th, featuring India alongside Indonesia, Malaysia, and Singapore. Currently, India has one confirmed friendly against Brazil in Kolkata, with efforts underway for two more high-quality matches. AIFF President Kalyan Chaubey stated that playing Brazil is a once-in-a-lifetime chance to boost the sport nationally. Officials are confident they will avoid a potential fine despite the withdrawal. ⚽
