business π India sends first batch of 19 passenger coaches to Bangladesh
India is supplying a rake of 19 LHB broad-gauge passenger coaches to address shortages in Bangladesh's rail network. These coaches were rolled out from Rail Coach Factory in Kapurthala, Punjab. The rake includes two AC Sleeper Cars, three AC Chair Cars, eleven Non-AC Chair Cars, and two Power Cars. They feature enhanced comfort and safety features, built specifically for Bangladesh Railway's operational needs. The full order of 200 coaches is expected to be delivered by December 2027 under a Rs 915 crore deal. π
