India is upgrading its security setup by ordering mobile anti-drone systems like the Indrajaal Ranger. This procurement is for border protection, VVIP security, and urban policing across various locations. The total order value stands at around Rs 155 crore, broken down into Rs 145 crore for borders and Rs 10 crore for city police. This move responds to the increasing use of drones for smuggling and surveillance across the country. The Ranger system features a three-layer defense mechanism for proactive threat management.
