π‘ India aims for more chip plants in next decade
Prime Minister Narendra Modi highlighted the importance of technology and entrepreneurship for India's future growth. He stated that India is projected to operationalize five to eight new semiconductor plants over the next seven to eight years. Currently, three major semiconductor plants are already operational, with their products slated for export. This push follows the India Semiconductor Mission launched in 2021, which initially offered βΉ76,000 crore in incentives. Furthermore, the government plans to train one crore youths with AI skills within the next year. π€
