π©Ί Hypertension drug issues in Uganda: study finds high prevalence
A study revealed that 116 Drug Therapy Problems (DTPs) were found among 159 hypertensive patients in southwestern Uganda. This research was conducted across Kampala International University and Ishaka Adventist Hospitals. The overall prevalence of DTPs across both hospitals was calculated at 56.6% as of September 2026. 'Dosage too low' was the most frequent DTP, impacting nearly 36.2% of participants. Patients with uncontrolled BP were significantly more likely to face these drug-related issues. π©Ί
