health π¬ Hyderabad study links vitamin gaps to memory dips in seniors
A Hyderabad study found mild cognitive impairment in 36.4% of older adults tracked between January 2024 and March 2025. Researchers from ICMR-NIN analyzed 184 adults aged 55 to 85, noting high deficiencies in Vitamin D and B2 among those affected. Specifically, 72% of the MCI group had low Vitamin D, compared to 48% of the unimpaired group. Vitamin D and B6 showed strong associations with lower MCI probability when analyzed statistically. The team stressed that further research is needed as this cross-sectional study cannot prove causation. π§
