health ๐ HPV vaccine arrives in Papua New Guinea
Papua New Guinea receives its first 100,000 HPV vaccine vials to fight cervical cancer. This shipment was handled by Scan Global and Air Niugini Cargo in PNG. The initial 100,000 vials are part of a planned 280,000 supply, with the first phase starting in September 2026. This initiative supports the WHO's goal of vaccinating 90% of girls by age 15. UNICEF is supporting the government with procurement and cold-chain logistics for the rollout.
