⚖️ HK activists face prison for Tiananmen memorial
Three activists, Albert Ho, Lee Cheuk-yan, and Chow Hang-tung, are facing sentencing in a Hong Kong court. They were convicted earlier this year of inciting subversion under Beijing's national security law. The activists, who led the Hong Kong Alliance in Support of Patriotic Democratic Movements of China, were arrested in September 2021. This case tests the remaining space for dissent in Hong Kong, where protests are heavily restricted since 2019. The sentence could see each defendant facing up to 10 years in prison. ⚖️
