business π‘ High Court power supply stays on, says AG
The Madras High Court campus maintains uninterrupted power supply due to TNPDCL's robust infrastructure setup. Advocate General Vijay Narayan confirmed this while appearing before the first Division Bench in court. The complex has a 5,500 KVA sanctioned load, with a 2,500 KVA additional indent for renovations as of August 21, 2026. This was in response to a PIL challenging the allotment of 1990 land for the Esplanade sub-station. The judges ultimately dismissed the petition, prioritizing essential power supply to the judiciary and hospitals.
