ποΈ Hidden Ice Reservoir Found Under Utah Rocks π§
Scientists discovered 1.55 million cubic metres of ice beneath the rubble of Mount Timpanogos. Researchers from the University of Utah mapped this reservoir using 232 gravity readings across the Wasatch Range. The ice is estimated to be buried about 150 feet deep within the Timpanogos Rock Glacier. This finding highlights that rock glaciers can conceal vast frozen water reserves in warm climates. The discovery impacts how scientists view these formations globally.
