β€οΈ Heart health during cancer treatment gets a major look
Cardiotoxicity is a big issue because heart complications can mess up cancer therapy completion. Researchers conducted a meta-analysis to see how heart failure therapies protect heart function in cancer patients. The analysis included 49 studies involving 6998 patients, examining drug classes like RAAS inhibitors and beta-blockers. RAAS inhibitors showed a 2.88% LVEF improvement, and the RAAS/beta-blocker combo improved it by 2.98%. Further randomized trials are needed to better understand newer cardiovascular treatments in cardio-oncology. π©Ί
