π Healthy eating might boost lung health for asthma/COPD patients
A healthier diet was found to correlate with better lung function in adults with asthma or COPD. Researchers analyzed data from the Lifelines cohort in the Netherlands, involving 83,460 participants. The study tracked participants for five years, with 9% having asthma and 15% having COPD. Higher diet scores were linked to slower lung function decline in COPD patients over time. This suggests diet could be an accessible strategy alongside medical treatments. π
