Harvard University agreed to pay a $53 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit. The case involved a former morgue manager, Cedric Lodge, at Harvard Medical School in Boston. Lodge was arrested in 2023 and sentenced to eight years for selling donated body parts since 2018. Families accused the school of negligence after knowing about his grotesque side business. Harvard will also establish an annual scholarship starting in the 2027-2028 academic year.
