business ✈️ HAL banking on Tejas for bigger growth
Hindustan Aeronautics Ltd reported a 14% year-on-year revenue jump in Q1FY27, beating expectations. The state-owned defence company is based in India and its order book is now 7.5 times trailing 12 months sales at the end of FY26. Despite rising material costs, EBITDA rose 19% to ₹1,530 crore during the June quarter. Prospects heavily depend on the delivery of indigenous aircraft like Tejas MK1A and HTT-40. HAL plans to increase its annual production capacity from 24 to 30 units moving forward.
