๐ง Grass marks lead to lost 18th-century building foundations
Strange marks on the grass at Temple Newsam in Leeds, England, were spotted in a 1995 photograph. Members of South Leeds Archaeology later excavated the site, uncovering foundations of an outbuilding over 280 years old. This discovery could also help verify a building shown in an 18th-century painting. The team has not yet determined the building's exact function or completion status. Further excavation seasons are planned to reveal more about this forgotten history. ๐ง
