๐ฌ Govt shifts raw sugar import to daily quota
The Centre changed the raw sugar import quota allocation to a daily system for the remaining 2,02,550 tonnes. This decision was made by the government in India to support domestic supplies due to rising sugar prices. Average retail sugar prices have jumped 37.5% to โน63.28 per kg as of August 31st. Additionally, dealers' stockholding limit is halved to 2,000 quintals from September 15th to November 30th. Mills are also advised to start crushing from October 15th, aiming for higher production. ๐
