π FSSAI cracks down on fake '100%' food claims
The Food Safety and Standards Authority of India (FSSAI) has taken action against several food companies for using misleading '100%' claims on products. Amway India, Emami, and Bonn Biscuits are among the firms that have withdrawn these labels and advertisements. This action was taken after regulatory enforcement measures were initiated by FSSAI to prevent consumer deception. The six companies involved, including Juza Foods and Masterchow Foods, have since corrected their product labeling and marketing. FSSAI continues this wider crackdown on various misleading food claims across the industry.
