Natarajan Chandrasekaran is stepping down as Chairman of Tata Sons after nearly four decades with the Tata Group. He rose from a Tamil-medium government school in a village in Tamil Nadu to the top spot in this prominent Indian business group. He joined TCS in 1987 and became CEO & MD for eight years until 2017, after which he chaired Tata Sons. Chandrasekaran implemented the 'One Tata' strategy and received the Padma Bhushan in 2022. He will not seek reappointment after his current term ends in February 2027.
