๐ฆ Flu and Leptospirosis are major health threats in Kerala ๐ท
Influenza and leptospirosis have become significant killers this season in Kerala, collectively causing nearly 300 fatalities. As of September 15th, the state recorded 10,244 influenza cases with 109 deaths, alongside 100 confirmed leptospirosis deaths. These spikes are potentially linked to unpredictable weather and viral mutations, affecting vulnerable populations severely. Health experts urge the government to prioritize flu vaccinations for the elderly and improve protective gear for at-risk workers. Early medical consultation and adherence to hygiene are strongly advised to combat these diseases.
