world π€ FBI shuts down China-linked hacking platforms
The U.S. Department of Justice announced the disruption of two hacking platforms, QScan and QTRouter, used by Chinese threat actors. These tools were operated by the state-sponsored group QTFY, linked to Nanjing Xinjiuwei Network Technology Company, targeting U.S. organizations. Activity, which has been tracked since May 2018, affected major entities like the NASA and the Federal Reserve. These platforms were used to hide attack origins by routing traffic through compromised IoT devices and VPSs. The disruption involved court-authorized action against the hard-coded domains of the malicious infrastructure. π€
