Former Chief Justice of India, DY Chandrachud, was appointed by Russia as an arbitrator in a treaty dispute raised by Ukrainian state-owned Oschadbank. The three-member tribunal will be led by Dyalá Jiménez, with Stavros Brekoulakis as the third member. This arbitration concerns a 1998 bilateral investment treaty between Ukraine and Russia. The dispute involves Oschadbank's assets lost in Donetsk, Luhansk, Kherson, and Zaporizhzhia following Russia's military actions. Oschadbank served notice in July 2025, and Chandrachud retired on November 10, 2024. 🏦
