This crisis affects the DRC, and the risk of it spreading across borders is increasing. As of Thursday, there have been 3,605 confirmed cases and 1,587 deaths recorded. The situation is worsened by insecurity, population displacement, and high mobility in the region. The outbreak marked its highest weekly case count in epidemiological week 30, with 567 cases and 296 deaths.
