⚠️ Desk Job Risks: Sitting Too Much Can Hurt
Spending excessive time sitting at a desk carries serious long-term health risks for many workers. A 2024 study tracked nearly 6,000 older women, showing those sitting over 11 hours daily had a 57% higher risk of death from any cause. Another analysis of 450,000 people indicated up to a 16% increased risk of death for those sitting most of the workday. Experts suggest breaking up long sitting periods with short movement breaks every 30 minutes. Moderate daily activity of 60 to 75 minutes can significantly lower these sedentary risks.
