π¦ Dengue breeding spots found at South Goa police HQ
A health department inspection uncovered mosquito breeding sites at the South Goa police headquarters in Margao. The inspection was triggered after two policemen from the Margao police station tested positive for dengue. The team identified stagnant rainwater in open barrels, tyres, and vehicles on the premises. Officials stressed that current monsoon conditions are creating ideal breeding spots for Aedes mosquitoes. The UHC has now directed the police to clean up and is starting a town-wide source-reduction drive.
