πΈ Delhi preps for BWF World Champs with crazy measures
The Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium is getting a major upgrade for the BWF World Championships returning to New Delhi on August 17. To manage wildlife, the organizers installed double-door entries and imported noise-emitting machines from the US. A non-toxic, castor oil-based gel has been placed on roof ducts to deter pigeons. This massive revamp, costing Rs 20 crore, also includes monkey whisperers for extra protection. The preparations, which started in February, aim to ensure a smooth tournament experience.
