health π¦ Delhi dengue cases low, but mosquito breeding is spiking
Delhi has recorded a total of 221 dengue cases up to July 31 this year. The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) found 20,431 houses positive for mosquito breeding between July 15 and July 31, compared to 8,011 houses earlier. This figure jumped more than 2.5 times in just a fortnight, despite increased surveillance drives. An MCD official stated the rise is due to an actual increase in mosquito breeding, not just more inspections. The civic body has taken preventive measures like 38,537 house sprays but hasn't predicted an outbreak. π¦
