π¬ Decoding solid-state battery dendrite formation
Researchers have published a comprehensive review detailing dendrite formation at the solid electrolyte/lithium metal anode interface. This study was conducted by teams from Forschungszentrum JΓΌlich, RWTH Aachen University, and Stanford University. The review examines inorganic, polymer, and hybrid solid electrolytes, available since May 7, 2026. It reveals that dendrite growth results from a cascade of interconnected degradation processes at the atomic level. Ultimately, solving this requires a deep microscopic understanding of how these materials behave under cycling conditions. π¬
