health π Daily tomatoes might slash liver fat, new study says
New research suggests that daily tomato consumption could help reduce liver fat in individuals with fatty liver disease. The study involved 79 adults with MASLD and BMI of 30 or less in India. Over six weeks, the tomato group showed a median CAP change of 35 dB/m versus 18 dB/m in the control group. Lycopene, a powerful antioxidant in tomatoes, is believed to be the key factor for this improvement. Further larger studies are needed to confirm the long-term benefits of this dietary addition.
