๐ง Daily sugary drinks linked to higher gastric cancer risk
Research indicates that consuming sugar-sweetened beverages daily is associated with an increased risk of developing gastric cancer. This finding comes from an analysis of 112,284 participants in the Nurses' Health Study and Health Professionals Follow-Up Study in the U.S. The study observed that daily consumers had a 2.45 times higher risk compared to those consuming less than one per month. This is the first study showing this association in a U.S. population, adding to limited knowledge on dietary links to this cancer. Further studies are necessary to confirm these results and investigate the underlying reasons for this risk. ๐ง
