π§ CPI(M) demands permanent fix for Visakhapatnam water crisis
The CPI(M) has pushed the Andhra Pradesh government to find a permanent solution for Visakhapatnam's drinking water shortage. District secretary M. Jaggu Naidu made this demand at a media conference held at Yechury Bhavan in Visakhapatnam on Monday. The city needs 130 million gallons a day but currently receives only 103 mgd as of September 1, 2026. They also criticized the incomplete Polavaram project and opposed water privatization. The party insists on building summer storage reservoirs to secure the city's water future. π§
