Congress has accused the Modi government of delaying the formal proroguing of Parliament after it adjourned sine die. This alleged delay is happening in New Delhi, with Congress General Secretary Jairam Ramesh raising concerns. The gap between adjournment and prorogation has reached 29 days, setting a new record compared to the 28 days in the 2015 Monsoon Session. Ramesh further alleged Amit Shah is plotting to secure a super-tainted two-thirds majority for the delimitation Constitution Amendment Bill. The bill previously failed on April 17, 2026, with only 298 supporting it out of 528 MPs. ๐คจ
