health ☕ Coffee links to metabolic and hormone health
A new Finnish study found that regular coffee drinking is connected to better body composition and metabolic markers. Researchers at the University of Oulu analyzed 2,264 participants aged 46 from the Northern Finland Birth Cohort 1966. Those with higher consumption had less fat and more muscle mass compared to lower consumers. In men, higher intake was linked to better glucose-insulin profiles and higher testosterone levels. Future animal and human intervention studies are needed to confirm these associations. ☕
