💧 Cochin Airport boosts flood defence system
Cochin International Airport Limited has upgraded its flood mitigation effort, Operation Pravah, against heavy rain threats. This enhancement involves real-time water flow monitoring both inside and outside the airport's zones. Cleaning and restoration work covered 23.85 kilometres of canals and drainage for about ₹41 lakh. Additionally, construction of three new bridges costs ₹40 crore and is managed by RITES Limited. An integrated system tracks the Periyar River and airport drainage, with new SOPs active since August 1.
