india ✊ CJP thought of ending Jantar Mantar protest
Sonam Wangchuk revealed that the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) leadership was considering stopping the Jantar Mantar protest shortly after the July 20 police crackdown in Delhi. They felt deeply demoralized when the protest stage was dismantled and many protesters left the site. Initially, the leadership thought the movement had collapsed after the July 20 action, believing all crowds had dispersed. However, the return of young protesters the next day revived the morale and gave them confidence to continue the agitation. The CJP eventually decided to keep protesting after Wangchuk's hunger strike was broken by Union ministers on July 21.
