♻️ Chennai moves on two big waste projects
The Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) is gearing up to receive bids for two significant waste management projects. These facilities are located at Keerapakkam, which needs a 2,400 TPD Waste-to-Energy plant, and Perungudi, requiring a 1,000 TPD waste-handling setup. Tenders were officially floated on March 6, and the submission deadline is set for September 30 at 3 p.m. These projects operate under a Public-Private Partnership (PPP) framework using the DBFOT model. The goal is to boost scientific waste processing and cut reliance on existing dumpsites. ♻️
