health ๐ฌ Chemo-free cancer treatment shows promise in breast cancer trial
A four-drug, chemotherapy-free combination showed encouraging results for HR-positive, HER2-positive metastatic breast cancer. This research was conducted by Patel et al in the multicenter ASPIRE trial across five clinical sites. The trial involved 29 patients, showing 97% clinical benefit in the first 6 months. This targeted regimen offers a potentially more convenient alternative to chemotherapy for some patients. Further larger randomized trials are planned to confirm these promising initial findings. ๐ฌ
