⛽ Can the world handle the oil shock from the US-Iran conflict?
The ongoing US-Iran conflict is pressuring global oil stocks, potentially causing one of history's biggest supply disruptions. The Middle East conflict is projected to keep oil prices elevated until early 2027, according to the US Energy Information Administration. Currently, the IEA released 400 million barrels from reserves, while China cut oil imports to manage the demand-supply gap. Government and commercial stocks theoretically cover the supply gap for about 300 days, but readily available stock is closer to 180 days. Future supply from the UAE, US, and others could help extend how long the market can absorb this hit. ⛽
