science 🧠 Brain's info hub adapts during tough decisions
New research details how the frontoparietal cortex, the brain's information hub, manages complex data flow. University of Iowa researchers studied this system in participants facing uncertainty while making decisions. The study involved 38 participants aged 18 to 35 who had to adjust learned color and face associations. The findings show the cortex dynamically shifts its connections based on the information needed for each decision stage. This offers clues for understanding conditions like ADHD and schizophrenia.
